2001. Lens-based artist and researcher based in Breda (Netherlands). His practice explores how history continues to influence and resonate within the present. Utilizing photography, installation and moving imagery, he explores themes of (family) history, memory, identity and the human-nature relationship. With a deep curiosity for unknown and forgotten narratives, he investigates cycles of absence and reconstruction, often drawing from archival material / found footage. He focuses on long-term, research-driven projects, in which repetition, experimentation and a blend of historical and contemporary visual strategies merge.
