Northern Shadows
We all carry this darkness, but most try to avoid it at all costs. I love the light and the joy, but the light would not be as valuable without the melancholy of darkness.

Norwegian photographer based in Beisfjord, Nordland, north of Norway. Over the years he collaborated with many artists and performers, created cover art for artists all over the world and been lucky enough to be invited and published in many magazines. He had many exhibitions around Norway and in many European countries: Italy, Germany, Belgium, Greece & France. In 2024, his first photo book, Watching the Silence, was published through Skeleton Key Press.
He works with both analog photography as well as digital, using dozens of cameras, depending on what he wants to convey, always with natural light, and using what he calls ‘physical filters’. These filters can be anything, he says, different types of fabrics, feathers, glass, transparent plastic, dry grass, plants, etc. Additionally, he shoots using long exposure with movement.
